DescriptionAn American Tail: Fievel Goes West Fievel Production Cel and Master Painted Production Background Setup (Universal, 1992). "Cause they are no cats in America!" This animated feature film, produced in cooperation with Stephen Spielberg, was directed by Don Bluth and starred little Fievel Mousekewitz. It was the largest box office return for a non-Disney animated feature film at the time. In 1992, Universal Studios hosted an auction in New York City featuring original artwork from this film, The Land Before Time and Fievel Goes West with proceeds to benefit the Reading Is Fundamental charity. This is the one-of-a-kind hand-painted cel and background of Fievel and his sister Tanya that graced the auction catalog cover. Easily one of the rarest Don Bluth/American Tail pieces we have seen, it bears a studio seal, and comes complete with a COA on back of the frame. The frame measures 23" x 20" with a mat opening of 15" x 12". Condition is Very Good. Frame is sold as-is.
