DescriptionBob Doerfler "Boy Meets Squirrel" In-House Gag Drawing (Warner Brothers, c. 1940s). Short of stature, with buck teeth, a perpetually red nose, and a cigarette hanging from his mouth, Bob "The Dorf" Doerfler was a popular in-betweener at the the Warner Brothers animation studios. He was the subject of many a gag drawing by the other animators, but he pulled no punches when caricaturing himself, as in this drawing with a rather tall gentleman who looks a bit like Bob Clampett. Art is in graphite with red and blue pencil on a sheet of 12 field 2-peghole paper, with added peghole extensions at the top. The combined image size is approximately 7" x 7". Handling wear and light paper toning. Very Good condition.
