Orphan's Picnic Donald Duck Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1936). Angrily shaking his fist in classic Donald form, he expresses his extreme displeasure with a menacing bee at the 5:09 mark of this early Disney color short. This cartoon marked an important stage in the evolution of Donald. His bill, still long and duck-like, became more malleable and expressive. His eyes grew larger, telegraphing his changes in expression. No longer a nondescript duck, he was becoming a distinct individual. It's an exceptional full-body image measuring 3.5" x 5" in graphite and red pencil on 12 field 5-peghole paper. The number 36 is handwritten in the lower right corner. The piece shows very minor handling and has white tape along the top edge on the back. Condition is Fine.Auction Info
