Now That Summer is Gone Animation/Story Drawings Group of 2 (Warner Brothers, 1938). This is a tale about a lazy squirrel who tries to gamble for his winter nuts instead of working hard. The short was directed by Frank Tashlin and released on 5/14/38. This is a pair of beautifully rendered and colored animation/story drawings in graphite and colored pencil on 12 field 2-peghole animation paper. One features Junior's father and the other is of the Wintertime Nut Inspectors and the enormous images measure approximately 8" and 11" tall. You can see them around the 1:37 and 2:13 marks. Both are attributed to the hand of Robert McKimson (1910-1977), who went on to become one of Warner Brother's top animation directors, having created such characters as the Tasmanian Devil and Foghorn Leghorn. Both show minor handling wear; otherwise, condition is Very Good.
