Description

Naruto: Shippuden Itachi Animation Drawing (Pierrot, c. 2009). A battered and bleeding Itachi reaches his hand out to his younger brother Sasuke in this emotional 12 field animation drawing from Naruto: Shippuden. The drawing was created for Itachi's death sequence, and is similar to a few scenes in episode 138 "The End" as well as the flashbacks that reveal his motives and physical state in episode 141 "Truth". The two brothers battle in "The End" and Sasuke believes, as Itachi intended, that he was only after his eyes. Madara reveals after the battle that Itachi was protecting both the Hidden Leaf Village and Sasuke from the inside of the Akatsuki and wasn't wholly evil like Sasuke has thought. He was terminally ill and didn't have much time left, but used some of his last moments to set up his final battle with his brother, remove his cursed mark, and protect him. The detailed graphite with color pencil animation drawing measures about 10'' x 7.75'' and is numbered A6 in the upper right corner, a beautiful way to remember Itachi's final moments and determination to protect his brother no matter the cost. Very Good condition with light edge and handling wear.
