DescriptionMulan Storyboard Original Art (Walt Disney, 1998). The Huns, led by the ruthless Shan Yu, invade China, breaching the Great Wall. As a result of the invasion, each family is given a conscription notice. Mulan's father is ordered to serve in the army. Due to his age and previous war injuries, it is unlikely he will survive. Against her family's wishes, Mulan secretly disguises herself as a man, takes her father's conscription notice, and weapons so that he will not have to go and rides away on her horse, Khan, to join the army. In this lot are four fantastic storyboard panels from Mulan. A storyboard is a graphic representation of how the film will unfold, shot by shot. It's made up of a number of panels with illustrations or pictures representing each shot and what's going on in the scene. The illustrations are rendered in graphite on animation paper. The storyboards each measure approximately 9.5" x 5.5" and are housed in a frame of 15" x 29" with glass. Frame is sold as-is. These rare pieces of animation art would be a nice acquisition by any discerning collector as storyboards are considered very hard to find. Artwork is in Very Good condition.
