Mr. Bug Goes to Town Smack the Mosquito and Swat the Fly Layout Drawing Original Art (Max Fleischer, 1941). "Aw, let me do it, will ya?" C. Bagwell Beetle's bad guys Smack and Swat lay in wait for Hoppity to come by as he dances with Honey Bee in the film's "cabaret" scene; the plan is to "nail" Hoppity over the head with a large, heavy nail! That's the scenario for this great original layout drawing from Mr. Bug Goes to Town. Here, Swat the Fly begs Smack the Mosquito for a chance to try (naturally, he'll miss). You can see Smack give in and hand little Swat the nail at the 22:50 mark. The art is in graphite on 16 field 3-peghole animation paper, with an image size measuring approximately 13" x 9". The paper is loosely mounted on a piece of 18" x 13" black backing board. Art is in Good condition with a large glue stain below the image, handling and edge wear, and paper toning with mild fold creases.
