Description
Mr. Bug Goes to Town Publicity Illustrations Group of 4 (Max Fleischer, 1941). Set of four extremely colorful illustrations created as publicity art for the final Fleischer Studio animated feature, Mr. Bug Goes to Town. The art is in watercolor and graphite on heavyweight paper measuring 10" x 8", with image areas ranging from 6" x 4" to 6" x 5". Three of the pieces are signed "Sketch by Skrenda" which may refer to artist Alfred G. Skrenda (1897 - 1978), famous in the 1930s for his book dust jacket illustrations. The art is loosely mounted two-up on black backing boards measuring 13" x 18". Rare and cool! Minor handling wear, with a few tack holes. Very Good condition.More information about Fleischer Studios.
