Description

Mother Goose Melodies RARE Mother Goose with Storybook Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1931). Mother Goose nursery rhymes literally come to life in this outstanding Burt Gillett-directed Silly Symphony! This incredibly rare pair of 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings feature the large book of nursery rhymes - complete with the goose - on the first page and Mother Goose doing a joyful jig with her feathery friend on the second. Both can be found as the book presents itself to Old King Cole, the first drawing at about 2:37 and the second at around the 2:42 mark. Both of these full figure centered images have been skillfully rendered in graphite with a hint of color pencil. They are noted as 89 and 157 in the lower right corner and measure roughly 3.75'' x 5.25'' and 3.75'' x 5.75''. These wonderful vintage animation drawings exhibit light age-related toning, minor edge and handling wear, pinholes, and light superficial wrinkles. Good to Very Good condition overall.
