Mother Goose Melodies Animation Drawings Sequence of 4 (Walt Disney, 1931). The old gal and her pet goose step and and strut their stuff for King Cole in this rare sequence of four original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings. This black and white Silly Symphony short was directed by Burt Gillett, and released to theaters on 4/17/31. In this set of drawings, we first see a giant volume of "Mother Goose Stories" with dancing legs and a goose's head popping out at top; this comes at the 2:23 mark in online viewings. Eventually Mother Goose and her pet come out an do a dance step for the king, with the final scene in the sequence coming in at the 2:44 mark. The art is in graphite, with a small amount of color pencil highlights on the first three. They are numbered in the lower right as #111 (image size 3.5" x 5.75"), #134 (image size 5.5" x 5.75"), #162 (image size 4" x 6"), and #351 (overall image size 7" x 3.75"). Two pages have reinforced pegholes. Good to Very Good condition, with minor edge and handling wear.
