Mother Goose Melodies Animation Drawings Sequence of 4 (Walt Disney, 1931). Old Mother Goose and her pet namesake pop out of a big book and do a dance in this sequence of four original 12 field animation drawings from this early Silly Symphony short. It was directed by Burt Gillett and released to theaters on 4/17/31. The first drawing, #98, is of the oversized book brought to Old King Cole and shows the Goose's head at the top and Mother's feet at the bottom; it appears at about the 2:31 timestamp with an approximate image size of 4.5" x 5.5". The other three are of the little dance they put on, beginning at 2:36 with drawing #165 (image size 4" x 5.75"); drawing #357 at 2:44 (2" x 2.75" and 4.5" x 4.25"); and drawing #412 (1.5" x 2.25" and 3" x 3.75") at 2:47. The art is in graphite with green or yellow penciling. The overall condition is Very Good with minor handling, edge wear, and light age-related paper toning.
