Mother Goose Goes Hollywood Laurel and Hardy Animation Drawings (Walt Disney, 1938). Two superb drawings of Simple Simon and the Pie Man. This Silly Symphony parody of the Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes features caricatures of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy in this Academy Award nominated short. T. Hee and Ferdinand Horvath did the character design work as well as some writing credits for T. Hee. Here are a great pair of early storyboards for a gag not used in the final cut. The Pie Man has a cross bow in his hand and Simple Simon has an apple in his mouth. What kind of trick could these two be conjuring up? Both compositions are created using graphite and colored pencil on storyboard panels. These are very rare early development storyboards. Both panels are framed with Plexiglas in a 24" x 11.5" frame with two mat openings of 8" x 6". Frame is sold as-is. Artwork is in Very Good condition.
