    In this wild take on Mother Goose, the Marx Brothers are Old King Cole's fiddlers three! Here are two original 12 field 5-peghole animation drawings from this Wilfred Jackson-directed Silly Symphony classic, which was first shown in theaters on 12/23/38. The first shows a smiling Groucho slinking away in his usual fashion; he's in graphite with red pencil in a detailed pose measuring 6" wide and 4.25" tall; it's noted as 40 in the lower right corner. The second features Chico, with Harpo riding along in his back pocket. Art is in graphite and red pencil, with a combined image size of 6" wide by 5.5" tall; the number 47 is written in the lower right. Overall condition is Fine, with light handling wear.
