    Description

Mother Goose Goes Hollywood Groucho and Harpo Marx Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1938) Old King Cole called for his pipe, and he called for his bowl and he called for his fiddlers-three. This Wilfred Jackson-directed parody of Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes featuring Hollywood stars of the 1930s. The King's fiddlers in this short were portrayed by the Marx Brothers (Groucho, Chico, and Harpo) and this is a pair of original production drawings of them at around the 1:26 mark. The first drawing is an image of Groucho measuring 7" x 3" and the second is of Harpo which measures 7" x 3.5". Both are graphite with red pencilling on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper. The lower right corner of Groucho's page is numbered 37 and Harpo is numbered 201B. Both show some minor handling; otherwise condition is Fine.
