Mother Goose Goes Hollywood Clark Gable and George Arliss Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1938). Wilfred Jackson directed this Silly Symphony short that mixed Mother Goose with the Golden Age of Hollywood. The short was released on 12/23/38 and was nominated for an Academy Award. Ward Kimball and Grim Natwick were among the animators who worked on this fan-favorite short. This is a rare 12 field 5-peghole layout drawing of Clark Gable and George Arliss. This is during the big musical number near the finale, at the "Old Lady in the Shoe" segment. Gable blows his flute and wiggles his ears (and tie), and then George Arliss plays the saxophone. You can see this at the 5:56 mark into the short. Graphite with red pencil highlights; nice image sizes of 5" and 6". Paper has minor handling and edge wear, and a small tear at the bottom border, nowhere near the images. Very Good condition.
