Description

Moose Hunters Donald Duck Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937). Donald aggressively swats at a bee in this outstanding 12 field 5-peghole animation drawing from the Ben Sharpsteen-directed short. Donald and Goofy disguise themselves as a moose to distract their target, but things quickly go wrong. The two flee for their lives and Donald nearly falls off of a cliff, only to rocket up the cliffside and land on a disgruntled bee. This tense moment, rendered beautifully in graphite with color pencil highlights, can be found at about the 4:47 mark as Donald shouts and furiously swings his arms at the insect. This large and detailed full figure drawing measures about 8.25'' x 5.5'' and is marked as 140 in the lower right. It comes with a Howard Lowery Certificate of Authenticity. Very Good condition with minor edge and handling wear, light age-related toning, and small paint smudge.
