Mickey's Surprise Party Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse Layout Drawing (Walt Disney, 1939). "What's the surprise?" The surprise is that something in the oven is burning, as Mickey and Minnie discover while at the piano. This is an original 12 field 5-peghole extreme layout drawing of Mickey and Minnie from this scene. This unusual short was shown at the 1939 New York World's Fair, produced as a cookie commercial for the National Biscuit Company (Nabisco). You can see this same image at the 2:22 mark into the short. Ham Luske directed the cartoon, which showcased the new designs of both Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Large images, with sizes of 4" and 7". Art is in graphite with red, blue, and green pencil highlights, marked Sc. 19 in the bottom border. Minor handling and edge wear. Very Good condition.
