Mickey's Service Station Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1935). Here's a fantastic drawing from Mickey's Service Station, the animated short subject film directed by Ben Sharpsteen; it hit theaters on 3/16/35. The short stars Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy as three of the worst car mechanics ever! This was the first time we see the classic trio of Mickey, Donald, and Goofy. Mickey's Service Station features the voice talents of Walt Disney as Mickey Mouse. In this rare production drawing we have a classic gag with Mickey getting a tire wheel stuck on his backside. You can see this scene around the 2:50 time mark. The drawing was rendered in graphite with color pencil on 12 field 2-peghole animation paper. The piece is numbered 150-D. This is actual working production art with mild age-related paper toning, reinforced pegholes, and handling. Condition is Very Good. This vintage drawing is over 80 years old!Auction Info
