Mickey's Rival Mortimer Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1936). Here is an outstanding animation drawing of Mortimer Mouse from the animated short Mickey's Rival. The short was directed by Wilfred Jackson for theatrical release on 6/20/36. In the cartoon Minnie prepares a country picnic with Mickey Mouse, as music to "Let Me Call You Sweetheart" plays. Just as they are about to eat, up shows Mickey's rival for Minnie's affection... Mortimer! This is an amazing 12 field 5-peghole layout drawing of Mortimer standing 4.75" tall. The piece was rendered in graphite and noted as number 49 in the lower right. Mild age-related toning and edge wear. Condition is Very Good.Auction Info
