Mickey's Rival Minnie Mouse and Mortimer Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1936). Outstanding pair of 12 field, 5-peghole animation drawings of Minnie Mouse with Mickey's rival for her affection, Mortimer. The short was directed by Wilfred Jackson. Mortimer at one time was considered for the name of Mickey Mouse. Great graphite images of 3.5" and 6". Both drawings were rendered in graphite on 12 field, 5-peghole animation paper. The image of Minnie is noted as number 7-A in the bottom right with mild production handling and edge wear, the piece is in Very Good condition. The Mortimer piece is noted as number 60 and has reinforced and repositioned pegholes. The artwork shows handling and edge wear with age-related toning. Condition is Good.
