Description

Mickey's Rival Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1936). This Wilfred Jackson-directed short was released to theaters on 6/20/1936 and followed Mickey and Minnie's picnic after Minnie's old friend Mortimer decided to crash it. He struts his stuff for Minnie, trying to impress her at every turn. Mickey is jealous throughout the short, but it shows itself the most in the scene in this 12 field 5-peghole animation drawing. Mortimer starts dancing and, after hearing compliment after compliment from Minnie, Mickey can't take it anymore. This classic full figure graphite with color pencil drawing of Mickey can be found starting at about the 4:13 mark as he calls Mortimer a "perfect scream". The detailed drawing measures about 2.25'' x 5'' and is noted as 50 in the lower right corner. Very Good condition with minor edge and handling wear and light age-related toning.
