Description

Mickey's Rival Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1936). "Let go!" Mickey shouts, trying to pull Minnie from the tree branch. She stubbornly hangs on, refusing to let go. This tense moment can be found towards the end of this Wilfred Jackson-directed short at about the 7:39 mark after Mortimer accidentally provokes an enormous bull. Mickey is preparing for a quick escape in his car, but convincing Minnie to get down is almost as difficult as avoiding the bull itself. The drawing is noted as 22 in the lower right corner with the initials E.G., rendered in graphite with color pencil with one reinforced peghole. This spectacular 12 field 5-peghole drawing measures an impressive 9.25'' x 6.5''. This vintage lot is in Good to Very Good condition with minor edge and handling wear, light age-related toning, light smudges, and faint superficial wrinkles.
