    Description

Mickey's Pal Pluto Minnie Mouse and Kittens Animation Drawings Sequence of 4 (Walt Disney, 1933). In this Burt Gillett-directed short, Pluto is visited by his evil side (as a miniature Pluto with devil horns and a pitchfork), when the litter of kittens he saved from drowning get all the attention from Mickey Mouse and Minnie. Pluto's good side (as an angel, of course) finally gets the best of him and he saves the kittens a second time. Here's a sequence of four original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings from the conclusion of the short, as Minnie hangs the kittens in socks over the fireplace to dry. You can see the sequence begin at the 7:00 mark. Three of the drawings, numbered 2, 10, and 10A, show Minnie placing one kitten in a sock; image areas measure approximately 4" x 4", 3.5" x 3.75", and 3.5" x 4". The fourth drawing shows three kittens in socks hung by clothespins to a line, with water dripping down; one kitten awaits his turn at being hung to dry. Overall image size for this drawing is 6" x 5.5". Art is graphite on all. Pegholes on the last drawing have been reinforced; paper shows minor toning and handling wear. Very Good condition on all.
