Description
Mickey's Pal Pluto Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Early Animation Drawings Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1933). Minnie runs towards the well with Mickey close behind in this trio of original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings from the Burt Gillett-directed short Mickey's Pal Pluto. Released on 2/18/1933, the short centered around Mickey and Minnie taking in a litter of kittens that Pluto saved from drowning in the icy water. The poor pup begins to grow jealous when they get all the attention and his devil side almost convinces him to get rid of them for good, but he can't go through with it. Minnie and Mickey find the kittens almost drowning again in the well and rush to their rescue starting at about 6:13, carefully helping them to safety and getting Pluto a nice warm blanket and meal for saving them once again. Minnie is wearing her iconic flower hat that is coveted by collectors and the lot is rendered in graphite with sequence numbers in the lower right corner as 38, 44, and 47. Minnie's figure size is about 3" tall, while Mickey is 2" to 2.5".
