Description
Mickey's Pal Pluto Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Animation Drawing Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1933). Pluto chooses to save a litter of drowning kittens not once, but twice in the Burt Gillet-directed short Mickey's Pal Pluto. The short was released on 2/18/1933 and forced Pluto to fight his devil side when he grew jealous of how much attention the kittens were getting from his favorite people. Mickey and Minnie, worried once they find the kittens and Pluto aren't in the house, storm out the door and rush to the well in this lovely trio of 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings from the short! They were created for about 6:14 as the couple run to the kittens' rescue, practically forgetting about Pluto until Mickey hears him barking for help. The drawings are nearly all full figure and are rendered masterfully in graphite. They measure about 5'' x 3.5'' to 4.5'' x 5'' combined and are noted 36, 41, and 46 on the page. One page is noted for scene 34. Good to Very Good condition with light edge and handling wear, faint age-related toning, and small edge tears.Auction Info
