Description
Mickey's Nightmare Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1932). Mickey dreams of marrying Minnie, but things quickly turn nightmarish when he finds that 20 children have been delivered to their house by storks. The 1932 short directed by Burt Gillett (1891 - 1971) was the first distributed by United Artists, as well as the first appearence of the recurring orphan children. The short escalates quickly as the young mice take on more and more dangerous activities, one eventually hitting Mickey with a glass-filled pillow. This full-figure graphite drawing shows Mickey holding the now empty pillow, staring at the shards in shock. This moment can be found at about the 5:06 mark. Mickey is centered in the page and measures about 4.75'' x 5''. The drawing is labeled 118. There is some age-related toning expected from a vintage piece with three small stains and a tiny chip in the paper. Good condition overall.Auction Info
