    Description

Mickey's Nightmare Mickey Mouse and Baby Animation Drawings Sequence of 6 (Walt Disney, 1932). Mickey finds himself with a house overrun with playfully destructive mice children when he dreams that he and Minnie are married, in this extremely funny outing. Burt Gillett was the director; the short was released to theaters on 8/13/32. In this sequence of four 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings, one of the "Mickey Juniors" is taking a hammer to Mickey's pocket watch. The first drawing, noted as #18 in the lower right corner, is seen in online viewings at the 4:10 mark, while the other five are all from 4:13. Four of the drawings work as groups of two. The drawings are marked #18 (baby holds watch, image size 4" x 2.5"); #46 (watch only, measures about 2" wide) and #39 (baby with hammer, image size 3.5" x 3"); #66 (baby raises hammer, image size 3.75" x 4") and #75 (Mickey rushing to stop the hammer, image size 6.25" x 5"); and #82 (Mickey pulls the hammer away from baby, image size 5.75" x 5.25"). Art is in graphite, with some added green and red pencil highlights. Paper toning with handling/edge wear. Good to Very Good condition.
