Description
Mickey's Mellerdrammer Background Layout Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1933). This Wilfred Jackson-directed short starred Mickey and Minnie Mouse, along with Goofy, Horace Horsecollar, and Clarabelle Cow in a barnyard production of the now politically-incorrect stage play, "Uncle Tom's Cabin." This is a pair of detailed background layout drawings from the backstage area of the ongoing play. The first is where Minnie Mouse is making popcorn and blowing it out on stage as a snow effect. It showcases Act 2 Scene 3, and can be seen at the 5:21 mark into the short. The second detailed layout drawing is when Mickey grabs the curtain rope by the fire bucket as dogs chase a cat on top of Clarabelle's head, at the 7:35 mark. Both are on 12 field 2-peghole animation paper. This is some of the most detailed background layout artwork ever produced by the studio! Graphite with blue pencil character outlines.
