    Mickey's Man Friday Animation Drawings Sequence of 4 (Walt Disney, 1935).
    In Mickey's Man Friday, Mickey is shipwrecked on an island where he discovers a tribe of cannibals. He scares them away saving the life of one tribesman who was about to be cooked. Mickey names him Friday, and together Mickey and Friday build a stockade. From Mickey's Man Friday we have a group of four animation drawings showing Mickey preparing to build the stockade. You will find these images around the 3:19 mark in the short subject film. The drawings were rendered in graphite with colored pencil on 12 field 2-peghole animation paper. Each piece is noted as number 100, #94, #77, #121 with images measuring 2.75" tall. Mickey's Man Friday was directed by David Hand who would go on to become a supervising director on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Bambi with animation by Clyde Geronimi who would later receive the 1978 Winsor McCay Award from the International Animated Film Society, ASIFA-Hollywood, for his lifetime of contributions to the animation field. He would be inducted as a Disney Legend in 2017. Mickey's Man Friday was released on January 19, 1935. This is actual working production art and thus will show normal usage, and handling with most pegholes reinforced; overall condition is Very Good.
