Description

Mickey's Good Deed Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1932). This sweet Burt Gillett-directed short is an essential Great Depression-era cartoon that was released to theaters on 12/17/1932. It captures the true meaning of the season as Mickey is forced to sell his best pal Pluto to give an impoverished family a Christmas to remember. This heartwarming moment can be found at about the 5:40 mark after Mickey - still dressed as Santa - peers into the window, a wide smile on his face, to see the children happily playing with the toys he brought them. This full figure mouse measures roughly 2.5'' x 2.75'', noted as 40 in the lower right corner. The drawing includes two partially marked out notes for the animator and the scene number to the right. This spectacular vintage animation drawing is in Very Good condition with minor edge and handling wear, and light age-related toning.
