Description

Mickey's Good Deed Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1932).
In this holiday-themed short, Mickey's Good Deed, Mickey and Pluto do a little busking in the snow. The short subject film was directed by Burt Gillett and released on 12/17/32, at the height of the Great Depression. The story has Mickey as a street performer who loses his cello when a horse-drawn sleigh runs over it causing him to sell Pluto, not for himself, but to buy toys and food for a family of poor cats. This piece was hand-drawn using graphite and colored pencil on 12 field 2-peghole animation paper. The image area measures approximately 4" x 3". You will find this image around the 1:03 mark. The piece has slight toning due to aging and normal edge wear; otherwise, the artwork is in Very Good condition.
