Description
Mickey's Garden Mickey Mouse and Beetle Animation Drawing Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1935). Mickey runs from a giant stag beetle in this outstanding and action-packed sequence from this Wilfred Jackson-directed short. This classic theatrical animation was released on 7/13/1935 and followed Mickey as he tried to get rid of all the pests in his garden, only to accidentally inhale some of the insecticide in his rush to save his plants. The fumes make him hallucinate, resulting in this tense chase sequence with a gigantic bug. These dynamic poses, one featuring the beetle and two featuring Mickey, can be found starting at about 6:14 when Mickey nearly becomes this beetle's lunch. The group is rendered in graphite with color pencil, the graphite with color pencil drawings ranging from 5.25'' x 5.75''. to 7.5'' x 6'' with effects included. The pages are noted as 133, 38, and 40 in the lower right corner and are in Very Good condition with only minor edge and handling wear, light age-related toning, and reinforced pegholes.Auction Info
