Description

Mickey's Gala Premier Mickey Mouse and Pluto Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1933). Mickey, in his top hat and tails, arrives with Pluto to the theater to see his new cartoon, but Pluto has to stop and sniff a tree first, in this rare original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawing. Bert Gillett directed this important early short, the first to show Mickey interacting with humans; it was released on 7/1/33. This scene with Mickey and Pluto occurs at the 2:45 mark; it's drawn in graphite and green pencil, with a combined image area measuring 5" wide by 3.5" tall. The notation 43 R is written in the lower right. Slight handling wear; Fine condition.
