Mickey's Fire Brigade Gag/Clarabelle Cow and Donald Duck Layout Drawings Group of 4 (Walt Disney, 1935). "Hey fellas, there's a woman up there! Come on!" Mickey says this to Donald and Goofy and all three fire fighters race up the stairs to save Clarabelle Cow, who is blissfully singing in her bathtub. This is a series of two gag/layout drawings from this short's finale, from where they save Clarabelle as she remains in the bathtub. They all fall down the ladder into her tub and she proceeds to keep hitting them on the head with her scrubbing brush, putting each of them one at a time under the water. Art is in graphite with red and orange crayon highlights on 12 field 2-peghole paper. Also in this lot are two animation drawings of Donald Duck from this same sequence. One is of his feathered bottom coming up in the tub water and one of his head. All four drawings are from scenes near this film's finale at the 7:28 mark. This short was directed by Ben Sharpsteen and released on 8/3/35. Layout/gag drawings of this era are rare. Minor handling and edge wear; Fine condition.
