Description

Mickey's Elephant Mickey and Bobo the Elephant Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1936). "No, no, Bobo, wait! I gotta paint it first." Mickey tells his new elephant, laughing as the (still big) little guy tries to push past him to check out the new home Mickey built for him. The short included animation contributed by one of Disney's "Nine Old Men" Frank Thomas, as well as Disney Legend Dick Huemer. This sweet moment can be found at about 1:09 in the Dave Hand-directed short that follows Pluto as he tries to get this elephant into trouble with Mickey, fearing he has been replaced. This wonderful 12 field 5-peghole animation drawing measures about 7.75'' x 3.75'' and is rendered in graphite with color pencil, numbered 29 in the lower right corner with the initials H.M.T. This is the first and only short with Bobo, so don't miss your chance to add this picture-perfect lot to your collection! The drawing is in Very Good condition with only minor edge and handling wear and light age-related toning.
