Mickey Mouse Annual Title Page Illustrations Original Art Group of 3 (Walt Disney/Dean & Son, 1953-57). Here's a fun group of Mickey Mouse art, three original "page 5" title illustrations as published in British Mickey Mouse Annual children's storybooks. The first was featured in the 1953 edition, which carried a 1952 copyright date inside (dating these books can be confusing; we're going by the dates posted online at the Tony's Trading website). This is a great illustration of Mickey and Goofy as cowboys, with an approximate image size of 9" x 9.75", with a board size of 10.75" x 11.75". Next is the title page for the 1955 edition, a happy illustration of Goofy and Mickey dancing for joy; image size is 9" x 9" on a board measuring 9.25" x 10.75". The third title page illustration is a super-sweet image of Mickey driving his car (with the steering wheel positioned on the right, UK-style), with Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto riding along, all ready for fun and adventure. Wow! This one has an image size of 8" x 10" with a board size of 10.5" x 13.75". All image dimensions included the hand-lettered titles. Each title page illustration is painted in gouache and ink on illustration board. All three of these painted illustrations are beautiful, and each would look fantastic matted and framed, hanging on your wall. Art condition is Good to Very Good, with handling and edge wear, small stains, and mild toning.Auction Info
