Mickey Mouse Annual Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Others Illustrations Original Art Group of 21 (Walt Disney/Dean & Son, 1954). Here's an enormous instant collection of great vintage Disney storybook art, all from the 1954 edition of Mickey Mouse Annual, published and sold in England. The art includes the following: from the story "Un-Able Seaman Duck" page 16, the Donald Duck Title art with Minnie, Clarabelle, Goofy and Pluto, image size 9.25" x 4.5" board size 11.5" x 7.75"; and from page 20, Donald Duck, image size 5.25" x 11.5" board size 9.25" x 13.5". From page 29, "Highwayman Mickey," Mickey Mouse and a BBC man, image size 9" x 5" board size 11" x 7.75". From "Mickey's Workshop" we have nine illustrations that appear on pages 33-37, with image sizes that range from 1.5" x 3.75" to 9" x 2.75", with board sizes ranging from 4" x 4" to 11" x 9.5". From "The Big Freeze-Up, Goofy and an exploding stove, image size 9" x 6.75", board size 11.5" x 9, page 47; and Minnie taking a fall, image size 9" x 7.25", board size 9.5" x 11.5", page 49. From "Donald's Drive," four illustrations: page 59, a nephew & cat image size 6" x 6" board size 8.5" x 8.75"; page 61 Grocer image size 5.25" x 6.25" board size 7.5" x 9"; page 62, unloading the truck, image size 9" x 10.5" board size 11" x 14.5"; and page 64, three nephews, image size 6" x 6" board size 8.5" x 9". From page 77, "Stop Thief," crook in window, image size 7" x 7.5" board size 10.75" x 9". And from "The Riddle of the Rissoles," two illustrations: page 83, Minnie and Morty, image size 6" x 5.25" board size 9" x 7.75"; and page 86, Mickey with Morty and Ferdy image size 9.25" x 5.75" board size 10.5" x 9". Art is in gouache and ink on illustration board. Overall art condition is Good, with handling/edge wear and mild toning.Auction Info
