Mickey Mouse Animator's Practice Drawing (Walt Disney, c.1940s). It takes a lot of practice to be a Disney animator especially if you're working with the studio's number one character. Presented here is an original animator's practice drawing of Mickey mouse. The two full-figure images of Mickey walking in procession measure approximately 5" talon 12 field 5 peghole paper with a Management Bond watermark. The drawing on the left is in red pencil and graphite and the left is in red only. They are both wonderful images of Mickey from his recent design change which gave him a slightly larger head and pupils in his eyes. Pieces like this are exceedingly rare as they were not created for production and routinely thrown away. It serves as a fascinating example of the hard work artists put in to become Disney caliber animators. It is in a 13" x 11" mat with 9.5" x 7.5" opening. Minor handling and condition is Very Good.
