Description

Merbabies Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1938). Wilfred Jackson directed this Silly Symphony short as a sequel to the incredibly popular Water Babies which was released three years prior. This adorable pair of production drawings are both on 12 field, 2-peghole animation paper. The first features a little merbaby-boy swimming around a bubble from around the 6:44 mark. It's rendered in graphite and colored with green, yellow, pink, and red pencil, and measures 3.5" x 4". It bears a scene stamp and is numbered 44 in the lower right corner. The second drawing shows a merbaby-girl from around the 6:00 mark. She is rendered in graphite with blue and red pencil, measures 3" x 3.5", and is stamped and numbered 37 in the lower right. Both show handling and edge wear. Condition is Very Good.
