Description
Mazinkaiser Animation Drawing (Brain's Base, 2001-02). Created for the original video animation series Mazinkaiser, this is spectacular original animation drawing featuring the titular giant robot in a fantastic mid-battle pose. Based on the Mazinkaiser design that debuted in the Super Robot Wars games and the original Mazinger Z manga by the legendary Go Nagai, Mazinkaiser emulates the artist's character designs, and its operatic plot is supported by "tongue-in-cheek" satire in regard to the gratuitous sex and violence of Go Nagai's work. This incredible drawing from the popular series is rendered in graphite and color pencil in exquisite detail. A pan image on 10.5" x 14" animation paper, the drawing shows minor handling and edge wear with the pegholes attached with adhesive at the top edge. The piece is numbered B6 in the upper right corner, and the condition overall is Very Good.Auction Info
