Mary Blair Cinderella Dream Sequence Concept Painting (Walt Disney, 1950). In Disney's animated feature film Cinderella, there was a dream sequence about the workload at the Castle with the Evil Step Mother. This scene was eventually taken out of the film. Artwork from this deleted scene can be seen on pages 91 and 93 in John Canemaker's book Magic Color Flair - The World of Mary Blair, as well as on page 45 in great detail in Mr. Canemaker's book The Art and Flair of Mary Blair (An Appreciation). This is a rare Mary Blair original concept painting of the deleted Dream Sequence, painted in gouache on board measuring 8" x 9". Great palette of purple and green colors with a full moon off in the top right corner, as the Evil Step Mother is yelling out cleaning orders. Pinholes in corners. Minor handling. Fine overall condition.
