Description

Magician Mickey Donald Duck Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937). "Ha! Anybody can do that!" This full-figure original final animation drawing of Donald Duck was created by a Disney Studios animator in production of the cartoon directed by (1900-1986), and a cel painting was made directly from it. Mickey Mouse plays the stage magician, Goofy is the stagehand in the rafters above, and Donald Duck is the heckler in a box seat: "Aw, phooey!" His anger spirals out of control, and in this scene, Donald springs to his feet to hurl a bottle at Mickey. Seen near the 3:19 timestamp of the animated short. Note the "speed lines" that add to the perception of rapid movement of the bottle. Donald, and his improvised weapon, measures approximately 4.5" x 3.5" on a 12 field 5-peghole sheet of animation paper. The piece has light age-toning with minor handling and edgewear. In Very Good condition.
