Description

Lonesome Ghosts Goofy Rough Layout Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937). We have a rare rough 12 field 5-peghole layout drawing of Goofy from the popular short Lonesome Ghosts for discerning collectors and fans of classic Disney shorts. The Burt Gillett-directed short is considered one of Mickey, Donald, and Goofy's best and Goofy's line "I ain't scared of no ghosts" is even rumored to have inspired the line in the Ghostbusters theme song. The hilarious short was full of laugh out loud gags and followed ghost exterminators Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy as they investigated a call about a haunted house. What they don't know is that the ghosts are the ones who called them and they are going to have their nights worth of fun. Mickey and Donald are both taken by surprise after the ghosts find them and are tossed in water, while the ghost messing with Goofy gets a little more creative and mimics his movements in the dresser mirror. Goofy is inevitably proven a fool and gets stuck in the dresser while trying to catch the culprit. This layout was created for roughly 7:20 when Goofy violently grabs his own foot, thinking it was the ghost. The image measures about 5.75'' x 8'' and is numbered 58 next to the drawing. Very Good condition with light edge and handling wear and faint age-related toning.
