DescriptionLittle Hiawatha Animation Drawings Sequence of 8 (Walt Disney, 1937).
Little Hiawatha comes across a set of bear tracks, which leads him to a face-to-face encounter with a bear cub. He chases after it, but runs right into the cub's hungry father, who is enraged and pursues him through the forest. The other animals' band together to keep Hiawatha out of the bear's clutches, including scenes of opossums flinging Hiawatha through the air, and beavers cutting down trees in the bear's path. This is an adorable sequence of eight animation drawings showing Hiawatha as he comes face-to-face with the bear cub. Each piece is noted as numbers 360, 357, 151A, 160, 169, 195, 81, and 22. Sheet number 195 has extensive color callout notations on the piece. All eight illustrations were rendered in graphite with colored pencil on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper. This superb sequence of vintage animation drawings would be a nice acquisition by any discerning collector. Mild age-related toning, otherwise, condition is Very Good.
