DescriptionLittle Hiawatha Animation Drawings Sequence of 5 (Walt Disney, 1937).
Little Hiawatha is on his way to hunt when he falls down a hidden hole in the pond. The animals in the forest begin to laugh at him so Hiawatha starts to chase them-with his pants occasionally falling down in what is the cartoon's running gag. Brave little hunter Hiawatha is caught with his pants down in this utterly charming sequence of five vintage animation drawings. This scene occurs about the 2:11 mark into the short. Directed by David Hand with animation by legendary animators, Ollie Johnston and Frank Thomas. Little Hiawatha was released on 5/15/37. It was the last Silly Symphony short to be released by United Artists. This adorable image measures about 5" tall with the feather and rendered in graphite with colored pencil on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper. Mild age-related toning. Artwork is in Very Good condition.
