DescriptionLittle Dutch Plate Boy and Girl Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Warner Brothers, 1935). Bob Clampett is reported to have been one of the animators on this early Merry Melodies short, which was directed by Isadore "Friz" Freleng and released to theaters on 10/19/35. Here's a rare pair of original 12 field top peghole drawings from this "kitchen items come to life" short, with the Little Dutch Boy salt shaker and the Little Dutch Girl plate painting as they get together and dance, which starts at the 1:20 mark. These are great full-figure images of these cute characters, drawn in graphite with blue pencil underdrawings and, on the boy, red pencil highlights. Figure sizes are each about 3.75". The boy drawing is noted as 263 in the lower right, while the girl is 223. Condition is Good with paper toning and handling/edge wear.
