Kiki's Delivery Service Kiki Rough Animation Drawing (Studio Ghibli, 1989). Kiki dries her brow from the sudden rainstorm in this charming original rough animation drawing from her 1989 Studio Ghibli classic Kiki's Delivery Service. The first Ghibli film to be successful its initial release, this lauded feature received both critical acclaim and multiple awards for its heartwarming story and gorgeous animation. About to learn the hard lesson that not every act of service is greeted with kindness, rain-drenched Kiki attempts to clean herself up a bit near the 59:25 timestamp of the film before ringing the doorbell to complete her delivery. She has been rendered in graphite and colored pencil to a delightful half-figure measuring 3.5" x 7.5" nicely centered on the 13.75" x 9.25" sheet of Studio Ghibli layout paper which is noted as frame E11 in the righthand margin with a note to trace her right arm from frame E9 in the lefthand margin and red ink marked along the lower edge. With typical handling and edge wear including very faint age-related toning and a few superficial surface wrinkles, overall this captivating rough animation drawing is in Very Good condition.
