Description

Kiki's Delivery Service Kiki Animation Drawing (Studio Ghibli, 1989). "Oh, Mom. I look really dumb." Kiki prepares to set out into the world to pursue the life of a witch in this lovely original animation drawing created for the Hayao Miyazaki masterpiece Kiki's Delivery Service. Her mother responds with warm sage advice that encapsulates the spirit of the film, "it's not really important what color your dress is. What matters is the heart inside." Created for the moment seen at the 4:14 mark, this charming drawing is rendered in graphite and color pencil on 13.75" x 9.25" 3-peghole animation paper. The drawing is numbered B3 in the lower left corner, and it shows minor handling and edge wear from normal studio use. The left and right pegholes show trimming. A great image of the beloved titular hero, the overall condition is Very Good.
From the Glad Museum Collection.
