    Description

Kermit the Frog, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, and Animal Original, Signed Sesame Street Children's Book Art (Jim Henson Publishing, 1999). ""I guess Miss Piggy's not home," Gonzo said." Here's an original graphite concept sketch of Kermit and friends from the Muppet Lift-the-Flap Book - The Muppet's Mixed-Up Christmas. This piece is signed by the artist Rick Brown -- longtime Sesame Street Magazine artist who became the lead artist for Muppets children's books. The overall image of this drawing with signature measures approximately 6" x 5" on an 8.5" x 8.5" sheet of tracing paper. The paper has been applied with a small piece of double-sided tape to a 12" x 9 " piece of mat board. An additional signature and a description written by the artist is on the back of the mat. Some light creases, a small brown stain in the lower left corner and basic handling; otherwise condition is Fine. The final, printed version of this sketch can be found on the third page of the book. A color copy of that page is included. In the final printed version you'll notice that the characters are turned to their right. In this image they are looking almost directly at you. This is wonderful grouping of Kermit and his Muppet pals. All original Muppet artwork is considered rare.
