Judge for a Day Betty Boop Animation Drawing (Max Fleischer, 1935). Court stenographer Betty arrives at work in a foul mood, after dealing with hordes of inconsiderate "pests" on her commute. Donning the judge's robes in the empty courtroom, she fantasizes aloud about the ways in which she would sentence each offending party to a punishment befitting his or her crime. She is inadvertently elected judge after the townspeople rally around her. This short was directed by Dave Fleischer, and released to theaters on September 20, 1935. The late great Myron Waldman (1908 - 2006) provided animation. This original animation drawing can be seen at the 2:21 point in the film, as Betty is forced out of her seat by a rather rotund passenger. She measures 3" tall, and is rendered in graphite on 10 field, 2-peghole paper. Any artwork from 1930s Betty Boop cartoons is considered extremely rare. Minor creasing to bottom corners. In Fine condition.
